Well informed sources say the increase is owed to the fact that many of these categories are seizing the opportunity to set for the exam and pass it in the last year before reform especially that authorities say that the rate of success is to exceed 60% after it reached 51% last year for the first after independence. In this regard high schools professor representatives said that this year baccalaureate exam will not be too different from previous sessions. Education trade union representative’s opinion said the rate is to remain at its levels recorded last year or decrease to 40% owing to the “very average level of pupils” shown during the quarter exams. As for errors in examination texts, National Union for Education and Training head Mr. Mohamed Idar called not to repeat such errors, claiming not to talk about them during examination days. On another side, High Schools Council Secretary General Mr. Osmane Redouane said that 2007 baccalaureate session is similar to the other sessions i.e. it’s not concerned by reform and 2008 will be the judgment year for education minister reforms success or not. | ||||||||||||||||||
