During a press conference held in Mercure hotel on the fringes of Algeria International Fair M. Han made clear that LG is waiting for the reply on its proposals next week, noting that the company considers the Algerian market as one of the most important markets in the region. LG officials bet on the partnership with Algeria electronic appliances manufacturing companies namely ENIE subsidiary in Sidi Bel Abbès. The Korean aims at concluding a partnership agreement or accompany technically the Algerian company. As for LG participation in Algiers International Fair, the same official made clear that his is participating for the second time while it used to participate previously through commercial representatives in Algeria. This year, the Korean company has exhibited many new types of equipment due to be available in the market by next months. Mr. Han mentioned also that LG possessed 70% shares in the Algerian market in 1997, but it lost them owing to Chinese products overwhelming the Algerian market in addition to goods getting into the Algerian market illegally by importers. | ||||||||||||||||||
