A good test for Cavalli men before Guinea match
Thursday Jun 07 2007.

The “greens” shined like stars under applauds of more than 25 fans at Nou Camp stadium in an international friendly match with Argentina though they lost 4-3.

Both Argentina and Algeria national teams performed an enjoyable match scoring together seven goals, in the mythical F.C Barcelona’s Nou Camp stadium.

“Tango” team shook the Algerian net thanks to a perfect penalty of Tevez (2’). The “Greens” reaction was unexpected thanks to a wonderful head hit of Antar Yahia, who could put the ball in the back net of Argentina after receiving a perfect pass from a free shoot from Belhadj. This goal burned the stands of Nou Camp stadium full of Algerians fans, who haven’t expected however to see once more their national team scoring by Meniri offering to the “Greens” an unexpected superiority before the end of the first half. Argentina coach Mr. Alfio Basile said, “We’ve faced some difficulties against the Algerians who played well mostly in the first half”.

The second half has been very different from the first one as “Tango” players raised the rhythm and scored twice in 6 minutes time. The well shooted penalty of Messi offered the equality, and then Cambiasso gives superiority to Argentina with a powerful head hit; Messi backs again and scores an artistic goal. “I’m so glad to play this match with its 7 goals”, said Messi, adding, “ I guess the fans enjoyed it and I’m so lucky to score on Nou Camp, and I think the Algerian team plays good football, I wish them good luck in future”.

The men of Cavalli added their third goal thanks to a perfect free shoot of Belhadj. The defender Bougherra said that his mates played a wonderful match, which is good for their moral before the crucial match against Guinea on 16 June in Algiers. Whereas the offender of West Ham Carlos Tevez said he was so surprised of the good performance the Algerians showed.
