Algerian universities ignored among one thousand others

Both Tlemcen and Batna Universities have been classified on the top list of the most important institutions in Algeria in terms of research publishing and participations in international meetings, association.

According to a report published by “Webometrics world ranking of world universities".

On the African side, the University of Tlemcen have been classified 39th , whereas Batna University came 48th among a list containing 100 African university in terms of the numbers and the efficiency of researches done in all scientific field. Concerning the other universities listed on the African level, there is that of Boumerdés classified 69th, then the University of Houari Boumediene in Algiers which came 72nd, whereas the University of Blida came as 74th.

Knowing that the South African universities have been classified among the first eight ones. However, on the worldwide level there has no classification of any Algerian university in a list containing one thousand universities.

And according to the responsible of training and courses in the University of Batna the number of the participation of the Algerian research workers in the different meeting which are held all over the world is still not enough, which stands as the result of non classification of the Algerian Universities in the worldwide list.
